2×8-Minute FTP Test

Pedal at the highest power that you can sustain for 2x8-minute periods with a 10-minute recovery in between.

This is a different way to measure your FTP. Set a resistance and target power level that you can sustain at full power for 2×8-minute rides—with a 10-minute recovery period in between.


The LAP button lets you keep an eye on your average power on each lap. When you’re finished, CAROL Bike’s AI calculates your FTP as 90% of your 2 best 8-minute average power levels.


Recommended to do once to measure FTP and periodically to precisely measure aerobic fitness.
